Pay Per Call works in a similar way to Pay Per Click, except, as its name implies, you pay per phone call you receive from a potential customer, rather than per click through to your website.

You often do not even need a website to benefit from Pay per Call online advertising.

Who is providing Pay Per Call
At present there are only two main players providing Pay per Call based advertising. These are Miva (formerly Espotting / Find what) and Kelcoo (Yahoo! Shopping).

Miva are taking clients on board now and have launched in September 2005.

Yahoo! Cars are already operating on a CPCall basis and we expect them to roll out with Travel and shopping sectors soon.

So what will the Cost per Call be?
Pricing for pay per call (PPCall) is obviously more expensive than pay per click as the chances of converting a phone call versus a website visitor will be significantly higher, however volumes of call requests will no doubt be much lower than click through browsers, so we expect the campaign costs to even themselves out.
